The organizing committee of sponsors for the 10th annual Copa de Golf Vallarta tournament are inviting 120 players (60 teams) to sign up for the event coming up November 5-6, 2011 held at the Marina Golf Course.

This exciting event full of prizes and comaraderie will take place in the “Tom Weiskopf” Vista Vallarta course and in Marina Vallarta´s 18 hole course as well.

An ongoing tradition in Puerto Vallarta, this year´s tournament will be played with 18 holes in one prizes, also closest to the pin prizes, handicaps are not considered, at the end of the tournament the hole in one and closest to the pin prizes will be presented along with an automobile raffled amongst the participants.

The cost is $3,000 pesos per participant and it includes welcome cocktail and registration fee. The registration will start at 4:00pm until 7:00pm on Saturday November the 5^th, 2011.

The Old Town Art Walk is one of the most popular yearly events in Puerto Vallarta. During the high season, from October 29th through the end of May, seventeen Old Town art galleries invite you to join them for free cocktail art expositions, every Wednesday night from 6-10 pm. All of the participating galleries are located in the historic center of Puerto Vallarta, within easy walking distance of the Main Plaza.

Tour over 16 art galleries display more than 300 international artists.  Every Wednesday from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM offering a complimentary cocktail, free entrance.

One of Puerto Vallarta’s most traditional activities is that of dancing to rhythms of theCity Band playing at the Arms Plaza, located right across from City Hall. People are invited to dance, watch or just listen to this great music every Thursday and Sunday from 6pm to 7pm.

All you need to do is shine those shoes, invite your partner and show up wanting to dance to great traditional beats.

May – September – Sea Turtles Arrive in Puerto Vallarta From May to September of every year, thousands of sea turtles come to lay their eggs on the beaches of Puerto Vallarta. As part of Puerto Vallarta’s Sea Turtle Release Program, every night throughout turtle season, staff members from various hotels located along the beach gather the turtle eggs from the shore and take them for incubation still in their nests to best preserve natural conditions. Once the hatchlings are born and are ready to be released into their natural habitat, the various hotels invite their guests to aid in the release of the newborn hatchlings on the beaches so they find their way into the water.

The Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2011 pageant is moving to the state of Jalisco, splitting into three phases. The first will take place in Guadalajara, where all 32 contestants will be introduced; the semifinal and grand finale will take place at the International Conventions Center in Puerto Vallarta August 18^th and 20^th.

The reigning Miss Universe, Ximena Navarrete, was a contestant during the Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2009. We hope the world’s most beautiful woman is once again fromMexico, and that Vallarta is a part of it.
